Christmas Packaging

Widely recognised as the home of Christmas, John Lewis leads the retail space during the festive season. The brief was to develop a premium and giftable visual identity for that year’s Christmas packaging. I created expressive ink and charcoal mark-making shapes and textures, taking inspiration from iconic Christmas silhouettes—reminiscent of shadows cast on a wall by candlelight. Using these elements, I developed a series of bold, hand-crafted patterns that brought a raw, tactile feel to the collection. Paired with a minimal, considered design application, the result was a premium range of packaging and gift-giving items that felt both artistic and elevated.
